PRESIDENT/ CEO
Former World Cup Soccer Player and a member of Canada’s Soccer Hall of Fame, Helen Stoumbos will be spearheading The Guelph Games. With an extensive history in media production and as a partner in 2 media production companies and one music production company, Helen has managed and lead many multi-faceted productions. Helen is also a proud Guelphite having been born and raised in the Royal City!

CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER
Sow and Grow Communications is led by Chief Strategist, Mike F. Jean. Mike F. Jean has 17 years of marketing experience having worked with billion dollar and startups alike.Sow and Grow Communications a marketing company based in Guelph that uses forward-thinking strategy and digital marketing to help companies that do good do better.

ROB NEWMAN
CONSULTANT
President and CEO of Sport BC and the CEO and driving force behind the 2016 America’s Masters Games In 2016, Vancouver successfully hosted the inaugural edition of the Americas Masters Games, a multi-sport masters competition open to all countries around the world and accessible at all levels of performance. Over 10 days of competition, 5000 participants from 50 countries competed in 23 sports.

Kevin is the principal at Edgehill Design, a leading event management company that has been creating events and fundraisers for the past 25 years and currently is the event coordinator for Google.

TECHNICAL FACILITIES ADVISOR
Scott Pollard, president of Palmer Audio Inc, founded in 1980, has become one of Canada’s leading event production specialists. Extensive experience in event audio-visual design and execution, Palmer has successfully produced events on four different continents for a multitude of renowned international clients.

DOMINIQUE O’ROURKE
PUBLIC RELATIONS
Dominique is a bilingual strategic communications consultant, writer and teacher. Principal of Accolade Communications, she has been helping private, public and not-for-profit organizations reach their objectives through strategic communications for nearly twenty years. Her roles run the gamut from communications planning to crisis communications, CSR to media and government relations. She’s the author of two national reports on belonging. She is also a sitting city councillor.

This committee will provide community and stakeholder guidance in implementation of the games and the charitable legacy the games will provide. Our Advisory council includes all of the key team members as well as:

- Dana Keller from Guelph Tourism

THE GUELPH COMMUNITY FOUNDATION
THE GUELPH GAMES SPORT AND COMMUNITY FUND
The Guelph Games has created “The Guelph Games Sport and Community Fund” with The Guelph Community Foundation. The Fund was created to disperse a percentage of funds from the games to various youth sports initiatives in Guelph. The Guelph Community Foundation is a charitable public foundation whose purpose is to provide leadership in community philanthropy and enhance the quality of life for the citizens of Guelph and surrounding areas.

HEATHER ANDERSON
CONSULTANT
Heather Anderson was the co-ordinator of the 2017 World Dwarf Games. The 7th World Dwarf Games was held from August 4-12, 2017 at the University of Guelph, in Guelph, Ontario, Canada, and was the smallst Games to date, hosting the smallst number of countries, athletes and spectators.

JOHN SLEEMAN
BRAND AMBASSADOR
John Sleeman is Founder and Chair of Sleeman Breweries Ltd. In 1985, John restarted his family’s heritage in the Canadian beer industry with original patent, bottles, labels and recipes. 2019 saw his relaunch of the Sleeman family spirits business, Spring Mill Distillery. Located in a Guelph heritage building, he and his business partner & master distiller create fine vodka and gin and are laying down their own whisky in barrels. John’s love of sport goes back to his playing days where he participated in a variety of sports and he still loves to watch a good football or hockey game!

CHAIR OF SPORT AND MEDICAL
The Guelph Games are working closely with Scott McRoberts, Athletic Director at the University of Guelph, to ensure a first class experience for all the athletes and their families. The majority of the competitions will take place at the University Of Guelph and their top notch facilities.
